This affiliate clinic of the Centers of Hope is being built on the US--Mexico border. The border cities are McAllen, Texas and Reynosa, Mexico. Rev. William Hiltz, who pastors the Church of God in McAllen, is in charge of the project, and as offerings are received, the construction is being advanced.
Pastor Hiltz had been ministering to Mexican children along the border, and felt that a clinic would be helpful to the poor families there, as well as for other Mexicans who travel up to the border, and may become in need of medical care.
The photo of the school
bus was taken at the Centers of Hope annual Board Meeting. The bus, which was
filled with clothing and other supplies, was donated and driven to the Mexican
border by Randy and Edwina Slone, accompanied by their young son. It will be
used for any needs of this clinic, once it is functioning. Shown also in the
photo are some of the Board members.
The clinic is being built on
top of a Church of God in Reynosa. One photo shows the pastor and some of her
members in front of the Church.

Another photo shows the pastor inside of her church.

A third photo shows the construction phase of the clinic.
Once the clinic is built, we will need a missionary, or a mission doctor or nurse, to operate this clinic and to minister to the people and children of that area. It would be a very good opportunity for ministry since it is a poor and needy area, as well as an area in which many people who have traveled to the border from within Mexico, find themselves stranded and without jobs. One advantage of this mission area is that it is close to the U.S., and so anyone feeling called by God to go there, does not have to be far from their home country.
